Utilizaremos uma metodologia hermenêutica de análise e histórico-descritivo, no âmbito da representação social da infância que se construíram e reconstruiram no contexto da história da educação social. Temos como objetivos: compreender as perceções feitas, pelas fontes e documentos, à volta da infância errante e em conflito social (séc. XIX-XX); conhecer a perceção e práticas da infância abandonada e errante através dos modelos do sistema jurídico; compreender o contexto histórico social da perceção dos adultos e da sociedade em relação a essa infância.Abstract: The study in social history of Portuguese child wandering and in social conflict. We use a methodology of analysis and historical hermeneutics-descriptive, within the framework of the social representation of childhood that built and rebuilt in the context of the history of social education. We have as objectives: understanding the perceptions made by the sources and documents, around childhood wandering and social conflict (21st century.
