dc.description.abstractNatural cellular materials can be found nearly everywhere in nature: from wood to leaves and cork or looking at the human bone, these structures have been studied more intensively over the last decades. Some of them have been showing exceptional mechanical properties that can compete or even surpass their synthetic competitors.
