Resumo(s)
A música tem do um papel crucial na construção de
identidades, durante ao longo da história. Assim como, outras formas
culturais, a música desempenha uma multiplicidade de papéis que por
vezes tem o poder de subverter as normas que são estipuladas pela
sociedade. Neste artigo, demonstrarei de que forma é que a música foi
utilizada como um mecanismo anti-repressor para criação de novas
identidades queer em Portugal, depois da ditadura de Salazar, através da
minha análise da Canção de Engate (1984) de António Variações.
ABSTRACT: Music has played a crucial role in building identies throughout the course of history. As well as other cultural forms, music plays a multiplicity of roles that some times has the power to subvert the rules that are laid down by society. In this article, I will demonstrate how music was used as an anti-repressor mechanism for creating new queer identies in Portugal after Salazar dictatorship, through my analysis of the song Canção de Engate (1984) by António Variações.
