Abstract(s)
conhecimento acerca do instrumento.
prático do instrumento.
Abstract: This work reflects the teaching practice developed during the internship, carried out within the scope of the curricular unit of Supervised Teaching Practice, as well as the development of the Research Project emerging from Artistic Education. It is divided into two parts. The First Part is a summary of the Supervised Teaching Practice Internship, which presents the contextualization and characterization of the school where the internship was carried out, Coimbra´s Conservatory of Music. It also includes the presentation of some lesson plans and relections related to the classes taught, concluding with a final reflection on the work carried out throughout the academic year. The Second Part of the Project is, in part, the consequence of the observation of the internship lessons as it aims to provide a tool to aid the teaching and study of the Portuguese Guitar. In this sense, the research is titled A Guitarra Portuguesa: Material de apoio para o estudo do instrumento [“The Portuguese Guitar: Support material for the study of the instrument”]. A Theoretical framework is presented on the importance of technique in learning a musical instrument and, followed by the results and analysis of a questionnaire survey conducted with the Portuguese guitar students of Coimbra’s Conservatory. The survey mainly focused on their study habits and knowledge about the instrument. Subsequently, based on the internship observations and the direct application of some exercises in the classroom context, a series of 120 exercises were provided, contextualized and systematized in the form of a “Method”, aiming to achieve a greater and better practical knowledge of the instrument. Finally, we conclude with a critical relection on the importance of technical development and the organization of the study of the Portuguese guitar, in stages and in a gradual manner.
