dc.description.abstractABSTRACT: Art and architecture have been unbreakably linked together for centuries, and the question that spontaneously arises is why it can not be the same for art and yacht design. The field in which the research is carried out is placed at the crossroads between art and architecture, of which yacht design can be considered a category. There is a lack of references to the artistic field in the yachting sector in literature, so the parallelism between architecture and “floating” architecture is performed : the ships are the emblem of closure, and the stylistic evolution has begun bearing fruit in recent years. The paper aims to outline the current state of the art of the relationship between art and yachting. The first part analyses the relationship between art and architecture, while the second part discusses art concerning naval design : here, the case studies analysis highlights how art onboard is still considered an accessory rather than a backbone of the project.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractRESUMEN : El arte y la arquitectura han estado unidos de manera inquebrantable durante siglos, y la pregunta que surge espontaneamente es por qué no puede ser lo mismo para el arte y el diseño de yates. El campo en el que se desarrolla la investigación se sitúa en la encrucijada entre el arte y la arquitectura, del que el diseño de yates puede considerarse una categoría. Faltan referencias al campo artístico en el sector náutico en la literatura, por lo que se realiza el paralelismo entre arquitectura y arquitectura “flotante”: los barcos son el emblema de cierre, y la evolución estilística ha comenzado a dar sus frutos en los últimos años. El documento tiene como objetivo esbozar el estado actual de la relación entre el arte y la navegación. La primera parte analiza larelación entre arte y arquitectura, mientras que la segunda parte analiza el arte relacionado con el diseño naval : aquí, el análisis de los estudios de caso destaca cómo el arte a bordo todavía se considera un accesorio másque una columna vertebral del proyectopt_PT
