Viabilidade económica e financeira de uma unidade apícola

Abstract(s)
Face à biodiversidade do território Português, a atividade apícola pode desempenhar um papel importante na sustentabilidade de qualquer exploração agrícola, bem como constituir uma fonte de rendimento para os agricultores e, em simultâneo, desenvolver-se como ponto de equilíbrio entre o impacto social e ambiental das regiões, em que as mesmas se dinamizam. Fundamentalmente, o acréscimo de produtividade através do alargamento de produtos e serviços inerente à atividade apícola, a preservação dos ecossistemas através da ação polinizadora das abelhas e, ainda, o estímulo à rendibilidade desta atividade face à diversidade de culturas agrícolas, contrariando a atual tendência depressiva, constituem-se como condições evolutivas excecionais para o desenvolvimento deste Trabalho de Projeto.
Metodologicamente procedeu-se, por um lado, à revisão da literatura, conceitos, legislação e normas que regulam a atividade apícola, e, por outro lado, ao estudo da viabilidade económico-financeira de uma unidade instalada na Serra da Gardunha (Fundão). O projeto de investimento suporta-se na recolha de dados para contextualizar a análise de viabilidade, em termos demográficos, económicos e sociais, no concelho do Fundão. Paralelamente, desenvolveu-se, ainda, uma avaliação do consumo e comercialização de produtos e serviços apícolas nesse mesmo concelho.
Os resultados deste Trabalho de Projeto permitem concluir sobre as diferentes variáveis que influenciam a viabilidade de uma unidade apícola, ao serem consideradas essenciais para o sucesso do projeto de investimento realizado, em favor da atividade agrícola. Para a sua prossecução foi essencial o processo de recolha de informações, sem descurar o reconhecimento do meio envolvente que conduziu a uma melhor avaliação da viabilidade dessa unidade. No que se refere à partilha de informação foi indiscutível a cooperação científica e técnica de diversos apicultores, bem como a transferência de conhecimento entre os restantes especialistas. Em suma, a criação da unidade apícola terá um significativo impacto na vida, pessoal e profissional, da mestranda, ao constituir uma possível saída profissional, bem como na região, na qual o projeto de investimento se irá desenvolver.
Abstract: Due to the biodiversity of the Portuguese territory, the beekeeping activity plays an important role in the sustainability of any agricultural exploration, as well as being a major income for the farmers and at the same time, it is a point of balance between the social and environmental impacts in the region in which these are enhanced. Fundamentally, the increase in productivity through the expansion of products and services inherent to the beekeeping activity, the preservation of the ecosystems through polonization by the bees and also the stimulation of rentability brought by this activity due to the diversity of agricultural products, contradicting the current depressive tendencies, are considered as exceptional evolutional conditions for the development of this project. Methodologically, we proceeded to, on the one hand, the literature review, concepts, legislation and rules that regulate the beekeeping activity, and on the other hand, study the economic and financial viability of a unit installed in Serra da Gardunha, on the council of Fundão. The investment project is supported by collecting data to contextualize the viability analysis in demographic, economical and social terms in the council of Fundão. At the same time, we also developed an evaluation towards the consumption and commercialization of products and beekeeping services made in this same city. The results of this Work Projet enable to conclude how the different variables influence the viability of a beekeeping unit, for these are considered essential for the success of this project of investigation made in favour of the agricultural activity. For this procedure, it was essential to collect information without minimizing the recognition of the environment that led to a better evaluation of the viability of that unit. As for sharing information, the scientific and technical cooperation of several beekeepers, as well as transferring knowledge between specialists is indisputable. Summarizing, creating a beekeeping unit will have a significant impact in the personal and professional life of the applicant to the masters degree, as being a professional possibility, as well as for the region in which the project will be developed.
