Abstract(s)
Neste artigo criticamos uma ideia que se tornou generalizada e
dominante: a ideia que o design industrial seria a estratégia de
racionalização do sistema fábrica, tal como é caracterizado por Tomás
Maldonado, entre outros. Trata-se assim, fundamentalmente, de rever o
quadro de análise do autor e não apenas de apontar outras estratégias.
Essa revisão conceptual é relevante do ponto de vista práco e teórico.
Práco, porque contribui para a identificação e reformulação dos
problemas pertinentes do projetar além dos definidos pela “cultura de
projeto” da fábrica. Teórica, porque fornece condições para outra
compreensão do sistema empresa e das estratégias de design industrial
comercial, e outros dados para formularmos um juízo sobre essas mesmas
estratégias
ABSTRACT: In this article we criticize an idea that has become widespread and dominant : the idea that the industrial design would be the strategy of raonalizing the factory system, as characterized by Tomás Maldonado among others. It is therefore fundamental to review the framework for analysis of the author, and not just point to other strategies. This conceptual revision is relevant from a praccal and theorecal perspective. Practical, because it helps to identify relevant problems for design beyond those defined by factory’s "project culture”. Theoretical, because it provides conditions for another understanding of the enterprise system and its strategies of commercial industrial design, and therefore other data to formulate a judgment.
