O impacto da introdução do Método Suzuki no Conservatório Regional de Setúbal

Abstract(s)
O presente relatório de estágio incide, primeiramente, sobre a unidade curricular de Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, desenvolvida na Escola Artística de Música do Conservatório Nacional de Lisboa. É realizada uma contextualização do meio escolar, bem como de todos os componentes teóricos e práticos que o constituem. Depois realiza-se a caracterização do Aluno e da Classe de Conjunto em estudo, seguindo-se a descrição do desenrolar da prática em si e encerrando-se com uma reflexão sobre a mesma.
Este relatório inclui uma segunda parte com um projeto cujos objetivos de investigação serão o aprofundar de conhecimentos sobre o Método Suzuki e verificar que tipo de impacto este pode gerar a nível de desenvolvimento musical nos alunos do Conservatório Regional de Setúbal. Foi realizada uma revisão literária sob o ponto de vista autores como Suzuki, Starr, Cannon, entre outros, onde se abordam temas técnicos e teóricos acerca da prática do violino em contexto individual e em conjunto. Foi realizada uma investigação que visa analisar o efeito da introdução do Método Suzuki no Conservatório Regional de Setúbal a diferentes níveis: didático (na disciplina de instrumento, pedagógico (ao nível da motivação e dinâmicas de aprendizagem) e cultural (ao nível da comunidade). Nesse sentido, recolheram-se dados de várias fontes, através da realização de entrevistas, à professora que introduziu o método no referido Conservatório e a dois grupos de ex-alunos, uns que estudaram segundo este método e outros que estudaram sob as orientações de outros métodos. Também foram recolhidos dados através da realização de um questionário a atuais alunos do Conservatório. De seguida, foram retiradas as conclusões da investigação que aparentam indicar a existência de benefícios na aplicação deste método que tem grande foco e incidência num ensino que promove a motivação e gosto dos alunos pelo violino e pela música numa idade bastante precoce.
Abstract : This internship report focuses, first of all, on the Supervised Teaching Practice curricular unit, developed at the Artistic School of Music of the National Conservatory of Lisbon. It is carried out a contextualization of the school environment, as well as of all the theoretical and practical components that constitute it. Then the characterization of the Student and the Ensemble Class under study is made, followed by the description of the development of the practice itself and ending with a reflection on it. The second part of this project includes a project whose investigative objectives will be to deepen knowledge about the Suzuki Method and to verify what kind of impact it may have on a level of musical development in students of the Regional Conservatory of Setúbal. A literary review was carried out from the point of view of authors like Suzuki, Starr, Cannon, among others, where technical and theoretical themes about the practice of the violin in an individual and group context are addressed. It was carried out a reserch to analyze the impact of the introduction of the Suzuki Method at the Regional Conservatory of Setúbal, from the point of different levels: didactic (in the instrument class), pedagogical (in terms of motivation and learnig dynamics), and cultural (in terms of the community). Data was collected from various sources, through interviews, to the teacher who introduced the method in the respective Conservatory and to two groups of former students, some who studied with this method and others who studied with other methods. Information was also collected through a questionnaire to current students of the Conservatory. Then, the conclusions of the research seem to indicate benefits with the application of this method, that has great focus and attention in a way of teaching that promotes motivation and enthusiasm for the violin and music at a very young age.
