Abstract(s)
O crescimento populacional e, consequentemente, o crescimento dos sistemas de distribuição de água (SDA) torna a sua representação computacional demasiado complexa e ineficiente. Ao longo do tempo foram-se desenvolvendo técnicas e formas de simplificar (“esqueletizar”) estes modelos, de acordo com as suas finalidades. Neste trabalho apresenta-se uma forma de simplificar modelos de SDA pela redução do número de nós e de troços, para se modelar SDA complexos de uma forma mais simples, obtendo resultados semelhantes nos nós que se pretendem estudar. Desta forma foi acrescentado ao software EPANET, a funcionalidade de “esqueletização” automática.
ABSTRACT: Population growth and consequently the growth of the systems of water supply (SDA) make its computational representation too complex and inefficient. Over time several and different approaches have been tested to simplify ("skeletonize"), these models according to their intended purposes. This paper introduces a simplified approach for models of SDA by reducing the number of nodes and pipes, in the complex model SDA, in order to get a simpler SDA’s modelling, with similar final results in the studied nodes. Thus was added to EPANET software, the functionality of "skeletonized" automatic.
