Abstract(s)
Maio.
Pretende salientar as diversas atividades presenciais frequentadas durante o
Porém, o relatório evidencia a comunicação/ relação terapêutica.
ABSTRACT: This report refers training developed under the clinical practice 1st master in Palliative Care of Escola Superior at Saúde Dr. Lopes Dias, of the Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, which took place in the period between February and May. Wishes to emphasize the various classroom activities attended during the probationary period, the learning, the connection between theoretical concepts and their practical application development, as well as carry out an assessment of the outcome of the pedagogical training, still being supported by the statements of relevant literature. The practical part is 300 hours, 80 hours were held in HL from February 28 to March 8, and 120 hours, in SMPHF of 15 to 30 in April, according to the availabilities of the respective teams. The remaining 100 hours were dedicated in my workplace to an intervention project on the communication during the month of May. Pain control is seen as a priority in the provision of health care, and although Pharmacology continue to be a dominant pain management option, non-pharmacological treatment can come to conquer more space in this control as well as contribute to improve the overall quality of life of the patient. Within the non-pharmacological treatments, the report will focus on the TENS in chronic pain control, which is a simple and non-invasive analgesic technique, widely used by physical therapists. However, the report highlights the therapeutic relationship/communication. Along with the proficient control of pain and interdisciplinary teamwork, proper use of communication skills and interpersonal relationships are the triad basis that sustains of palliative care. With the intervention plan, training on "Communication in the interaction of the patient care", sought to spread the questions around the humanization of health care with a group of professionals who daily practice palliative cares, auxiliaries and home day care and home support. The training developed achieved the objectives previously established in general, allowing on the one hand the acquisition of knowledge and shared living and, secondly, the development of clinical standards of conduct within the Palliative Care, essential to the basic training, and that will be useful in the future in any area of differentiation, including physiotherapy.
