dc.description.abstractTrata-se de um estudo histórico-descritivo sobre Colónia Agrícola de S. Bernardino (1912-18), dependente da Casa Pia de Lisboa, coincidente com a 1.ª República portuguesa (1910-26), com regime de internato, que deu início à educação especial em Portugal. Foi uma instituição pioneira para rapazes ‘anormais’, reeducando-os e regenerando-os e criando-lhes um ambiente e estrutura de governação que os afastava do ambiente de Lisboa. Sendo uma pesquisa historiográfica, com análise hermenêutica ao conteúdo das fontes (primárias e secundárias) manuseadas no Arquivo Histórico Casa Pia -Centro Cultural Cassapiano. Os cinco pontos estrutura do texto articulam-se com os objetivos propostos: contextualizar historicamente Colónia como escola/laboratório no tratamento (médico-pedagógico, terapêutico) aos ‘anormais’; analisar a estrutura organizativa da instrução ministrada; compreender pedagogia pelo trabalho na reeducação e regeneração dos rapazes anormais; analisar a normatização da disciplina no ambiente institucional com o papel do jornal O Agricultor (1913-18) na divulgação da Colónia e educação especial.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractAbstract: This is a descriptive historical study on The Agricultural Colony of S. Bernardino (1912-18), dependent on Casa Pia of Lisbon, which coincident with the 1st Portuguese Republic (1910-26), with boarding school regime, which initiated special education in Portugal. It was a pioneering institution for 'abnormal' boys, re-educating and regenerating them and creating an environment and governance structure that kept them away from the Lisbon environment. Being a historiographical research, with hermeneutic analysis to the content of the sources (primary and secondary) handled in the Historical Archive Casa Pia - Centro Cultural Cassapiano. The five points structure of the text are articulated with the proposed objectives: to contextualize cologne historically as a school/laboratory in the treatment (medical-pedagogical, therapeutic) to the 'abnormal'; to analyze the organizational structure of the instruction given; understand pedagogy through work in the re-education and regeneration of abnormal boys; to analyze the standardization of discipline in the institutional environment with the role of the newspaper The Farmer (1913-18) in the dissemination of the Colony and special education..pt_PT
