Abstract: The present internship report describes the work developed within the scope of the Master's Degree in Fashion Design, carried out through a curricular internship at Helix, a company specialized in lingerie production. The main objective of the internship was to research and analyse emerging and sustainable materials applicable to the intimate apparel industry, as well as to assess their economic viability compared to conventional materials. The work began with a theoretical framework covering the historical evolution of lingerie, contemporary manufacturing techniques, and sustainable sourcing practices. Trend analysis was conducted using specialized platforms such as WGSN and complemented by visits to international trade fairs and direct market observation activities. The case study involved the development of two bra prototypes: one using conventional materials and the other using sustainable materials. The comparative analysis focused on evaluating prices and minimum order quantities (MOQ's) to indentify the main constraints and opportunities associated with adopting more responsible practices within an industrial context. The results demonstrate that, although sustainable materials imply a higher initial investment and greater logistical demands, they present potential for aligning product offerings with the increasing demands of consumers and international regulations. This report contributes to the ongoing discussion on integrating sustainable solutions in the intimate apparel industry and highlights the importance of applied research in the transition towards more ethical and innovative practices.
