This study aimed to validate the adaptation of menus in accessible communication as a tool to promote social inclusion and autonomy. A multiple case study was conducted in two restaurants using data collection methods including a semi-structured interview (n=1), field notes, a focus group (n=4), and a questionnaire (n=80). Content analysis and descriptive statistics revealed that 98% of participants viewed menu modification as a means of inclusion, while 95% viewed it as a strategy to promote autonomy.
