| dc.description.abstract | O presente projeto centra-se no idoso institucionalizado, na sua relação com a instituição que o acolhe e as suas necessidades perante a realidade que vive na instituição. Pretende-se, igualmente, percecionar as expetativas de futuros utentes face às instituições e à institucionalização e daí comparar as perceções/opiniões dos atuais idosos com as daqueles que futuramente poderão vir a integrar uma instituição. A opção por este tema surge da necessidade de aferir sobre as necessidades e interesses dos utentes e as suas mudanças de acordo com as suas vivências e experiências. Assim, será de extrema importância as instituições, e os respetivos técnicos, estarem à altura não só dos atuais utentes como daqueles que os novos tempos poderão trazer: utentes mais escolarizados, com profissões mais diversificadas, com hábitos de lazer mais exigentes e acostumados a uma qualidade de vida mais consolidada. O estudo é uma investigação qualitativa, com recurso à análise documental e à entrevista, do tipo semiestruturado. Da amostra, fizeram parte trinta indivíduos – 15 utentes institucionalizados e 15 possíveis futuros utentes. Esta amostra contempla utentes institucionalizados autónomos e possíveis futuros utentes, que poderão ser ou não familiares dos utentes institucionalizados. A amostra foi selecionada aleatoriamente. Com este estudo conclui-se que as pessoas que se encontram institucionalizadas se sentem felizes. Apesar de preferirem estar nas suas casas, não se arrependem de se encontrarem institucionalizadas. Quanto aos utentes do futuro, estes serão outros Utentes, com diferentes características, mais exigentes e capazes de reivindicar com mais facilidade. Deste modo, as instituições terão de se adaptar, encontrando respostas que vão ao encontro das necessidades destes futuros utentes e que seguramente exigirão algumas reestruturações das estruturas organizacionais. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This project focuses on the institutionalized elderly, in their relationship with the institution that embraces them and the needs of the elderly in the reality they live in the institution. The aim is also to uncover the perceptions of the future users towards the institutions and the institutionalization; and then compare the perceptions/opinions of today's senior citizens with those who in the future may integrate an institution. The choice of this theme arises from the need to assess the needs and interests of users and their changes according to their experiences. It is extremely important that the institutions and their technicians are up not only to the needs of current users as those who may be institutionalized: users more educated, with most diverse professions, with more demanding leisure habits and accustomed to a quality of life more consolidated. The study is a qualitative research, using the documentary analysis and semistructured interviews. The sample was made of thirty people – 15 institutionalized elderly and 15 possible future users. This sample includes institutionalized users autonomous and possible future users, which may or may not be institutionalized users relatives. The sample was randomly selected. We can conclude that people who are institutionalized feel a bit happy. Although they prefer to be in their homes, they don’t regret being institutionalized. As for the users of the future, these will be other elderly, with different characteristics, but to whom the institutions will be able to answer, obviously taking into account the necessary changes of habits already inculcated and according to organizational structures. Future users will be, without any doubt, the most demanding users and able to claim more easily. | pt_PT |
