Abstract(s)
A Op Art e os seus fenómenos visuais são explorados e
estudados, é descrito o contexto social e cultural em que surge e os
movimentos artisticos onde encontrou precedências - pós modernismo.
Na sua contextualização é feita uma análise formal e teórica, focada
naquilo que a distingue de outros movimentos coevos, como a Pop art. A
Op art em Portugal é sobretudo representada pelos trabalhos de Artur
Rosa e Eduardo Nery. Por último, os principais efeitos óticos usados pela
Op art são apresentados e relacionados com a psicologia da Gestalt.
ABSTRACT : Op art and its visual phenomena are exploited and studied. The social and cultural context as well as the artistic movements in which Op art found it’s precedents - post modernism, are depicted. In its contextualization a formal and theoretical analysis, focused on what distinguishes it from other coeval movements, such as Pop art, is performed. Op art in Portugal is mainly represented by the works of Artur Rosa and Eduardo Nery. Lastly, the main optical effects used in Op art are discussed and related to the Gestalt psychology.
