O presente trabalho incide sobre contextos e práticas associadas à flauta de bisel no
Brasil. Neste âmbito, o principal objetivo foi promover a criação e disseminação de
repertório para flauta contralto Helder através de práticas colaborativas entre
intérprete/compositor. Outros objetivos incluíram a verificação e caracterização de
contextos e usos relacionados ao instrumento, bem como a pertinência da utilização
de flautas de bisel modernas na execução da música contemporânea; e as implicações
do trabalho colaborativo no âmbito da criação de repertório. A metodologia incluiu
pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e musicológica; etnografia (realização de
entrevistas); experimentação e colaboração. Foram realizadas 8 entrevistas com
experientes compositores brasileiros, de forma a mapear conhecimentos acerca do
instrumento, implicações sobre a escrita para flauta de bisel moderna, e iniciativas
para a disseminação do instrumento no cenário da música de concerto. Entre os
resultados da investigação, consta a criação de 5 obras a solo inéditas para o
instrumento.
Abstract: This work focuses on contexts and practices associated with the recorder in Brazil. In this scope, the main objective was to promote the creation and dissemination of repertoire for contralto Helder recorder through collaborative practices between performer/composer. Other objectives included the verification and characterization of contexts and uses related to the instrument, as well as the relevance of using modern recorders in the performance of contemporary music; and the implications of collaborative work in the context of creating repertoire. Methodology included bibliographical, documentary and musicological research; ethnography (interviews); experimentation and collaboration. Eight interviews were conducted with experienced Brazilian composers, in order to map knowledge on the instrument, implications for writing for modern recorder, and initiatives for the dissemination of the instrument in the concert music scene. Results of the research include the creation of five new solo works for the instrument.
