Abstract(s)
Abstract : This internship report reflects on the Supervised Teaching Practice (SEP) developed as part of a curricular unit within the Master's Degree in Music Teaching. It is divided into two parts, the first of which focuses on the PES curricular unit carried out during the 2021/2022 school year at the Castelo Branco Regional Conservatory, where the characterization of the Conservatory, the instrument student and the ensemble class is presented. The lesson plans and descriptions are also presented, as well as a critical reflection on the work carried out. The second part refers to the research work entitled "The Importance of Teaching Breathing in the Oboe". In wind instruments, as the name implies, it is necessary to use directed air in order to obtain the sound of the instrument, and since the oboe is an instrument belonging to this family, the importance of research and analysis of this theme applied to the instrument is notorious. The aim is to understand, in general terms, both the importance of breathing in the instrument and in teaching it. The methodology used in the research is of a qualitative descriptive nature, based on the collection of information using a questionnaire survey of oboists and analysis of the data obtained, using descriptive statistical techniques, seeking to understand the importance and teaching of breathing, and ways of applying the theme to the oboe.
