Abstract(s)
Abstract : The Professional Internship Report of the Master's Degree in Music Teaching was carried out within the scope of the Supervised Teaching Practice and Music Teaching Projects, which consists of two parts. The first part refers to the professional stage realized in the Foundation Conservatório de Música da Maia, where classes are described and analyzed through planning, evaluations and reflections, as a teacher in the discipline of cello and chamber music. In the second part, I present the Research Study with the following theme: The use of Portuguese children's songs as a didactic resource in the teaching of the cello in the 1st and 2nd cycle, which aims to answer the following objectives: Identify which competencies to develop in the study of the cello for 1st and 2nd cycle students; Identify which children's songs to use as a resource to acquire and develop skills in the study of the cello; To analyze the results that the students obtained in the instrumental execution of the chosen songs. The research that results in the search for answers to these objectives was based on a legal framework of the music teaching system in Portugal. For the research project, 42 songs were selected and adapted for the teaching of the cello through a research of the programmatic contents of the cello discipline related to the Calouste Gulbenkian Art School of Aveiro, where I worked with 4 students of the first cycle, and 6 of the 2nd cycle. The results of my intervention indicate quite positive values in relation to the introduction of the Portuguese popular song as a way to improve capacities such as tuning and memorization. In this way the use of the Portuguese popular song can be considered as an important pedagogical tool for the teaching and study of the cello in the 1st and 2nd cycle.
