O estágio de seis meses no Ateliê Filipa Borges Nascimento, situado na Quinta de são Jerónmimo, em Coimbra, proporcionou ao estagiário uma experiência completa e imersiva no funcioamento de um ateliê de design de interiores. O trabalho concentrou-se maioritariamente em projetos residenciais e comerciais, oferecendo-lhe acesso a uma vasta gama de marcas, acabamentos, tecidos e materiais de alta qualidade, desde fornecedores nacionais e internacionais.
Durante este período o estagiário teve oportunidade de observar e participar ativamente em todas as fases do processo de design, desde a conceção inicial e desenvolvimento de projetos, até à sua execução final. Este envolvimento prático permitiu-lhe compreender em detalhe a gestão de projetos, incluindo a organização de prazos, orçamentos e comunicação com fornecedores. A interação direta com clientes, em diferentes contextos e com necessidades variadas, permitiu-lhe aperfeiçoar as suas competências de comunicação e compreensão das necessidades do cliente, crucial para o sucesso de qualquer projeto de design.
A exploração de materiais foi um aspeto fundamental do estágio, proporcionando familiaridade com uma variedade significativa de texturas, acabamentos e propriedades de materiais diversos, incluindo madeiras, tecidos , metais e pedras, expandindo o seu conhecimento prático e a sua sensibilidade estética. Através da análise de amostras e da participação em reuniões com fornecedores, o estagiário aprofundou o seu conhecimento técnico e a sua capacidade de selecionar os materiais mais adequados para cada projeto, tendo em conta aspetos estéticos, funcionais e orçamentais.
Em suma, o estágio proporcionou uma experiência abrangente e enriquecedora, consolidando os seus conhecimentos teóricos e desenvolvendo competências práticas essenciais para a sua futura carreira no design de interiores.
Abstract: The six-month internship at Ateliê Filipa Borges Nascimento, located at Quinta de São Jerónimo, in Coimbra, provided the intern with a complete and immersive experience in the operation of an interior design studio. The work focused mainly on residential and commercial projects, offering access to a wide range of brands, finishes, fabrics, high quality materials, from national and international suppliers. During this period, the intern had the opportunity to observe and actively participate in all phases of the design process, from initial conception and project development to its final execution. This practical involvement allowed them to understand in detail project management, including teh organization of deadlines, budgets, and communicating with suppliers. Direct interaction with clients, in different contexts and with varied needs, allowed them to refine their communication skills and understanding of client needs, crucial for the success of any design project. Material exploration was a fundamental aspect of the internship, providing familiarity with a significant variety of textures, finishes, and properties of various materials, including woods, fabrics, metals, and stones, expanding their practical knowledge and aesthetic sensibility. Through the analysis of samples and participation in meetings with suppliers, the intern deepened their technical knowledge and their ability to select the most suitable materials for each project, taking into account aesthetic, functional, and budgetary aspects. In short, the internship provided a comprehensive and enriching experience, consolidating their theoretical knowledge and developing practical skills essential for their future career in interior design.
