| dc.description.abstract | A cerejeira (Prunus avium L.) é uma planta da família das Rosáceas. Em Portugal a produção de cereja apresenta elevada rentabilidade económica devido a suas características físicas e organoléticas que são muito apreciadas pelos consumidores refletindo-se no preço por quilograma. O cultivo de cereja está essencialmente restrigindo ao norte e centro do país, destacando-se duas regiões territoriais, nomeadamente, a região Beira interior e Trás-os-Montes. Sendo a cultura da cerejeira muito importante na região da Beira interior e sendo também uma cultura muito vulnerável ao rachamento dos frutos sempre que ocorre chuva durante a maturação, este trabalho, inserido no projeto P2-Resilis, visa contribuir para avaliar o efeito da cobertura da cultura da cerejeira na produção e qualidade dos frutos. O trabalho decorreu numa exploração frutícola, localizada na Beira Interior, em Catrão, concelho de Fundão. Como objetivos concretos pretendeu-se determinar o efeito da cobertura da cultura da cerejeira, em túnel alto, na produção obtida e qualidade dos frutos, tendo por base 3 cultivares distintas – Nimba, Red Pacific, Sabrina. A produção comercial da cultivar Sabrina, na forma de condução UFO foi de 5,9 t/ha na modalidade sem cobertura e de 13,6 t/ha na modalidade com cobertura da cultura. A cobertura induziu a produção de frutos de maior tamanho (10,2 g/fruto), mas com menor dureza (58,2, Durofel), comparativamente à modalidade sem cobertura, em que os frutos foram mais pequenos (8,4 g/fruto) mas com uma dureza mais elevada (70,2, Durofel). | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: The cherry tree (Prunus avium L.) is a plant of the Rosaceae family. In Portugal, cherry production is highly profitable due to its physical and organoleptic characteristics, which are highly appreciated by consumers, which is reflected in the price per kilogram. Cherry cultivation is essentially restricted to the North and Center of the country, with two regions standing out, namely, the Beira Interior and Trás-os-Montes regions. Since cherry cultivation is very important in the Beira Interior region and is also a crop that is very vulnerable to fruit cracking whenever it rains during ripening, this work, part of the P2-Resilis project, aims to contribute to evaluating the effect of cherry tree cover on fruit production and fruit quality. The work was carried out on a farm located in Beira Interior, in Catrão, municipality of Fundão. The specific objectives of this study were to determine the effect of cherry tree cover, in a high plastic covered tunnel on the production and quality of the fruits, based on three different cultivars – Nimba, Red Pacific and Sabrina. The commercial production of the Sabrina cultivar, in the UFO training system, was 5.9 t/ha in the uncovered treatment and 13.6 t/ha in the covered treatment. The orchard cover induced the production of larger fruits (10.2 g/fruit), but with lower firmness (58.2, Durofel), compared to the uncovered treatment, in which the fruits were smaller (8.4 g/fruit) but with higher firmness (70.2, Durofel). | eng |
