Abstract(s)
A relação da sociedade com a deficiência ao longo da história da humanidade tem vindo a revelar-se deveras difícil, no entanto existem avanços relevantes no que concerne à integração escolar e a gradual inclusão de crianças e jovens com necessidades educativas especiais e das pessoas com deficiência.
O estudo incidirá na intervenção social para a inclusão, adotando a metodologia de investigação-ação na Associação Mithós Histórias Exemplares, mais concretamente no âmbito do projeto “Vem calçar os sapatos do outro”. No qual a equipa de voluntários compostos maioritariamente por pessoas com deficiência levam para o contexto educacional as experiências vividas por eles, como forma de demonstrar as diferentes realidades existentes e promover através das ações de sensibilização atitudes e comportamentos positivos face à inclusão das pessoas com deficiência na escola e sociedade.
A intervenção esteve mais direcionada ao acompanhamento e avaliação deste projeto, que constituiu-se com base nos objetivos propostos neste relatório, sendo eles: 1) conhecer a dinâmica de uma instituição que promove através de atitudes e comportamentos, a inclusão das pessoas com deficiência na escola e sociedade, 2) intervir de forma colaborativa nas atividades da Mithós e 3) analisar criticamente as aprendizagens associadas ao estágio.
A metodologia adotada foi de acordo com as tarefas planeadas. Incidiu-se principalmente, na análise documental, nas entrevistas semi-directivas, e na observação direta e participante com o apoio das notas de campo, que posteriormente colaboraram na construção da descrição das atividades e na análise reflexiva.
Após a análise das ações desenvolvidas percebemos que o caminho para a verdadeira inclusão é longo e deixa sinais da necessidade de consciencializar as pessoas para as questões da deficiência e da importância de formarmos sociedades mais inclusivas, na qual todos, independentemente das suas limitações, convivam e partilhem dos mesmos espaços de maneira justa.
The relationship between society and disability throughout the history of mankind has proved to be very difficult. However, there are significant advances in school integration and in the inclusion of children and young people with special educational needs and people with disabilities. The study will focus on social intervention for inclusion, adopting the methodology of action research in the Associação Mithós Histórias Exemplares, more concretely within the scope of the project "Come to wear the shoes of the other". The team of volunteers, composed mostly of people with disabilities, takes to the educational context the experiences lived by them, as a way of demonstrating the different existing realities and of promoting, through actions directed to raise awareness of positive attitudes and behaviors, the inclusion of people with disabilities in school and society. My intervention was more directed to the monitoring and evaluation of this project, which was based on the objectives proposed in this report, which are: i) to know the dynamics of an institution that promotes, through attitudes and behaviors, the inclusion of people with disabilities in school and society, ii) to intervene collaboratively in the activities of Mithós and iii) critically analyze the learning process associated with the whole project. The methodology adopted was according to the planned tasks. The focus was mainly on documentary analysis, semi-directional interviews, and direct participant observation with the support of the field notes, which later collaborated in the construction of the description of activities and reflective analysis. After analyzing the actions developed, we realize that the path to true inclusion is long and shows evidence of the need to raise awareness of disability issues and the importance of forming more inclusive societies, in which everyone, regardless of their limitations, lives and share the same spaces fairly.
