Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho foi realizado no âmbito do 2.° Mestrado em Cuidados
Paliativos da Escola Superior de Saúde Dr. Lopes dias do Instituto Politécnico de
Castelo Branco, e traduz a reflexão crítica sobre o alcance de objetivos propostos e de
competências adquiridas, mediante a realização da prática clínica.
Conforme preconizado, é importante a interligação dos conhecimentos teóricos
com a experiência clínica como modalidade de aprendizagem. Assim, com a realização
de um estágio e, por sua vez, da elaboração do relatório, refinam-se capacidades e
aprimora-se o pensamento crítico e reflexivo.
Mediante a análise de cada objetivo individualmente, reflete-se criticamente
acerca da forma de como foram atingidos, justificando-se com base em bibliografia.
Este trabalho, exprime assim, a reflexão sobre a forma como foram aplicados os
princípios dos cuidados paliativos, a atenção pormenorizada às necessidades físicas,
psicológicas, sociais, espirituais, familiares, a resposta aos desafios éticos, a
coordenação em equipa interdisciplinar, o desenvolvimento da prática assistencial ao
doente com doença crónica, incurável, avançada e progressiva e sua família, tendo
por base competências comunicacionais e, por último, a promoção de sessões
formativas.
O trabalho, explana ainda o projeto de intervenção/formação, na área da nutrição
e hidratação em fim de vida, segundo Liverpool care pathway for the dying patient
(LCP).
ABSTRACT: This work was performed under the 2nd MSc in Palliative Care at the School of Health Dr. Lopes Dias, Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco, and translates the critical reflection on the achievement of proposed goals and skills acquired through completion of practical clinic. As recommended, it is important to interconnect the theoretical and clinical experience as a mode of learning knowledge. Thus, with the completion of a stage and turn of reporting, refine itself and enhances capabilities is critical and reflective thinking. By analyzing each goal individually is reflected critically about the way of how they were achieved, justifying it on the basis of literature. This work expresses thus the reflection on how the principles of palliative care were applied, the detailed attention to the physical, psychological, social, spiritual, family, the answer to the ethical challenges, coordination of interdisciplinary team, the development of practice care to the patient with chronic, incurable, advanced and progressive disease and their families, based on communication skills and finally the promotion of training sessions. The paper also explains the design of intervention / training in the area of nutrition and hydration at end of life, according Liverpool care pathway for the dying patient (LCP)
