| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho tem como finalidade identificar o nível de ansiedade em que o idoso se encontra durante o período de integração nas Estruturas Residenciais para Pessoas Idosos (ERPI) e perceber como os níveis de ansiedade interferem com o processo de adaptação à instituição. É um estudo exploratório do tipo qualitativo em que se procura correlacionar as variáveis: meio, género, idade, escolaridade e motivo da institucionalização com os níveis de ansiedade vividos aquando o processo de integração da pessoa idosa à sua nova residência que passa a ser o “Lar”. Para concretizar esta avaliação, os instrumentos utilizados são: o Inventário de Ansiedade de Beck e uma entrevista semiestruturada que tem como objetivo proceder ao levantamento dos dados sociodemográficos do utente assim como entender o que mais temem ou privilegiam na sua ida para a instituição. Por último vamos tentar perceber se as variáveis sociodemográficas se relacionam com o nível de ansiedade em que o idoso se encontra de modo que nos permitam entender se este estado influencia o processo de adaptação à instituição para que posteriormente se possa repensar as condições, contextos e circunstâncias de integração do idoso na nova residência, minimizando os estados de ansiedade potenciando um processo de adaptação mais harmonioso. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This work aims to identify the level of anxiety of an elderly person during the period of integration in the Structural Residencies for Elderly people and it tries to understand how the levels of anxiety interfere with the adaption process to the institution. It is a Qualitative study where we seek to correlate the variables: environment, gender, age, level of studies and the reason for the institutionalization with the levels of anxiety experienced during the process of integration of the elderly person in his/her new residency which is now his/her “Home”. To perform this evaluation, the tools used were: Beck’s Anxiety Inventory and a semisctrutured interview with the aim of proceeding to the collecting of sociodemographic data from the user, as well as to try to understand what do they most fear or what do they most desire in their way to the institution. Lastly, we are going to try to understand if the sociodemographic variables are related with the level of anxiety of the elderly person in order to understand if this state influences the adaptation process to the institution to, posteriorly, rethink the conditions, contexts and circumstances of the elderly integration in his/her new residency, minimizing the anxiety states and making the process less painful. | pt_PT |
