partir
da
reflexão
sobre
o
estado
atual
do
ensino
conservatorial
da
música
e
sobre
as
dificuldades
que
este
atravessa
no
que
diz
respeito
à
motivação
dos
alunos,
estudou-se
a
hipótese
da
improvisação
musical
livre
representar
uma
solução
viável
para
ultrapassar
estas
dificuldades.
Aplicou-se
assim
a
uma
criança
de
dez
anos,
num
estudo
de
caso
feito
no
Conservatório
de
Música
de
Seia,
uma
metodologia
do
ensino
da
improvisação
musical
livre,
com
o
objetivo
de
analisar
os
seus
efeitos
na
motivação.
Adotou-se
uma
metodologia
de
investigação-ação,
dotando
o
investigador
de
um
ponto
de
vista
de
observador
participante.
A
partir
da
análise
de
entrevistas
e
gravações,
encontrámos
alguns
resultados
que
indiciam
um
aumento
da
motivação
intrínseca
neste
aluno,
ainda
que
se
considere
necessário
um
estudo
mais
aprofundado
para
obter
conclusões
mais
válidas.
Abstract: Reflecting on the current state of the conservatorial music teaching and on the dificulties it encounters regarding student motivation, we studied the possibility of free musical improvisation as a viable solution to overcome these dificulties. A free improvisation teaching methodology was then applied on a 10-year old child on a case study held in Conservatório de Música de Seia, while looking for its effects on motivation. An action research was applied, which provided the researcher an active observation viewpoint. From the analysis of recordings and interviews, we found evidences of an increasing intrinsic motivation on this student. However, a deeper study is required in order to obtain more valid conclusions.
