Abstract(s)
Abstract: For all musical instruments, there are several methods to help the musician to develop skills that will be needed throughout his musical life. This paper aims to fill a gap in the literature in performance tuba. After skills acquired by the musician, there is a need to keep them. Learn them may not be the most difficult, but keep them will not be easy, given that every day, more jobs come and the time to study is less. Many are the methods by which the tubist comes across in their training; and this long journey, many different exercises related to the same topic are found for that. This dissertation will present a methodology that has been tested in four students of higher education tuba in several countries. This weekly method was constructed to show the importance of using study, a daily routine, some elements such as long notes, flexible, articulating, and scales among others. The method weekly built for the applicability test was developed from methods known in the literature instrument such as the following authors: Arban, Jack Robinson, Walter Hilgers and others. The data obtained through studies conducted by the participants were analyzed qualitatively from a survey questionnaire type with open and closed questions which were answered by the participating teachers and students. Further, the data were correlated with each participant. This study emphasizes the importance of implementation and varied studies to ensure efficient maintenance and improved performance by the tubists.
