Este relatório insere-se no âmbito do Mestrado em Cuidados Paliativos da Escola Superior
de Saúde Dr. Lopes Dias (ESALD) do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco (IPCB),
constituindo um requisito obrigatório à obtenção do grau de Mestre em Cuidados Paliativos. A
presente dissertação tem como objetivo demonstrar as competências adquiridas no estágio de
prática clínica e em sede de revisão sistemática, apresentando-se dividido em duas partes. Na
primeira parte, descreve-se o estágio prático, integrando-o numa reflexão à luz das quatro
áreas fundamentais dos Cuidados Paliativos: controlo sintomático, comunicação, apoio à
família e trabalho em equipa.Na segunda parte, apresenta-se a revisão sistemática da literatura
intitulada Intervenção espiritual no luto de cuidadores informais em contexto de cuidados
paliativos, na qual se pretende avaliar a efetividade da intervenção espiritual no contínuo do
luto (pré e pós-morte) de cuidadores informais de doentes em tratamento paliativo.
Abstract: This dissertation is part of the post-graduate course in Palliative Care at the Escola Superior de Saúde Dr. Lopes Dias of the Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, and is a mandatory requirement for obtaining a Master's degree in Palliative Care. The aim of this dissertation is to demonstrate the skills acquired during the clinical practice internship and competency in research, in this case, in conducting a systematic review. It is divided into two parts. In the first part, the practical internship is described and includes a reflection on the four fundamentals areas of Palliative Care: symptomatic control, communication, family support and teamwork. In the second part, results of a systematic review of the literature entitled Spiritual intervention in the bereavement of informal caregivers in the context of palliative care, are present. The latter aims to evaluate the effectiveness of spiritual intervention in the whole continuum of bereavement (pre and post-death) of informal caregivers of patients undergoing palliative treatment.
