Abstract(s)
A indisciplina escolar constitui um desafio ร escola atual, aos professores, aos tรฉcnicos e tambรฉm aos pais e encarregados de educaรงรฃo, na procura de respostas e estratรฉgias. A investigaรงรฃo em curso consiste num estudo de caso, no sentido de compreender porque รฉ que as situaรงรตes de indisciplina acontecem e perceber o contributo dos pais e dos professores na prevenรงรฃo e no combate ร indisciplina. Para tal definiram-se os seguintes objetivos: compreender o modo como a escola identifica e atua perante os casos de indisciplina; compreender os fatores que desencadeiam em certos alunos da turma, comportamentos de indisciplina; perceber como รฉ que os fatores gรฉnero e o nรญvel socioeconรณmico dos alunos interferem nos contextos educativos, relativamente ร indisciplina; identificar as representaรงรตes que os pais/encarregados de educaรงรฃo possuem relativamente ร s regras e limites que incutem aos filhos e contribuir para a prevenรงรฃo e para a diminuiรงรฃo da indisciplina atravรฉs da proposta de um projeto de intervenรงรฃo. Participaram no estudo os alunos da turma de 8ยบ ano, respetivos pais e encarregados de educaรงรฃo, duas professoras e a diretora de turma.
Na recolha de dados recorreu-se ao inquรฉrito por questionรกrio, utilizou-se a entrevista, a anรกlise documental e observaรงรฃo registada em grelha de observaรงรฃo. A anรกlise de resultados surge da triangulaรงรฃo dos resultados obtidos, permitindo concluir que alunos que nรฃo cumprem os seus deveres e que quebram as regras de conduta de forma sistemรกtica em sala de aula, de acordo com a gravidade da situaรงรฃo, sรฃo alvo de participaรงรฃo disciplinar, enquanto alguns pais se demitem perante situaรงรตes de indisciplina. Verifica-se a necessidade dos professores desenvolverem estratรฉgias de melhoria do ambiente na sala de aula, quanto ร questรฃo disciplinar. A prรกtica pedagรณgica dos professores e a forma como o professor atua com os alunos poderรก contribuir, para a prevenรงรฃo dos comportamentos de indisciplina. O fator gรฉnero masculino e o nรญvel socioeconรณmico dos alunos estรฃo associados positivamente, ร frequรชncia de indisciplina. A participaรงรฃo e envolvimento das famรญlias na vida escolar dos filhos ainda surge, somente quando รฉ solicitada presenรงa pelo diretor de turma, ou para participar nas reuniรตes de avaliaรงรฃo.
Considerando os resultados obtidos na investigaรงรฃo, torna-se pertinente o desenvolvimento de um projeto de intervenรงรฃo, dirigido ao grupo/turma do 8ยบ ano, grupo de docentes e pais e encarregados de educaรงรฃo da turma em estudo.
Nowadays educational indiscipline is a challenge to schools. Teachers, technicians and parents search for answers and strategies to deal with this situation. This investigation is a case study that has the objective to understand why indiscipline occurs at schools and how can parents and teachers help to prevent it. To do this it was established the following objectives: understand the way schools identify and deal with indiscipline cases; understand what leads certain students of a class to indiscipline; understand how the gender and the socioeconomic level of students interfere in the indiscipline context; identify the representations that parents have concerning rules and limits for their children; and contribute to the prevention and decrease of indiscipline through the proposal of an intervention project. In this study participated the students of an eighth grade class, their parents, two teachers and the class head teacher. To collect data it was used the survey by questionnaire, the interview, documental analysis, direct observation and its records. The analysis of the results was done by the triangulation of the results, allowing the conclusions that students donโt fulfil their duties and regularly break the rules of conduct in the classroom and according to the severity of the situation have a disciplinary participation or not and their parents put themselves aside from this.It was verified the need of teachers to develop strategies to improve the environment in classroom concerning discipline. The teacher pedagogical practise and the way the teacher acts with the students might contribute to the prevention of behaviours of indiscipline. The male gender and the socioeconomic level of students are positively associated to the frequency of indiscipline. The participation and involvement of families in their children school life only happens when the head teacher asks for their presence at school. Considering the obtained results of the investigation it becomes relevant the developing of an intervention project aimed for the studied class of the eighth grade, their teachers and parents.
