- Accessibility for all: Social inclusion and autonomy through multi format menusPublication . Gil, H.; Saraiva, D.; Sousa, C.Accessibility of information in restaurants still lacks effective strategies to ensure the inclusion of persons with disabilities (PwD). This study aimed to validate the adaptation of menus in accessible communication as a tool to promote social inclusion and autonomy. A multiple case study was conducted in two restaurants using data collection methods including a semi-structured interview (n=1), field notes, a focus group (n=4), and a questionnaire (n=80). Content analysis and descriptive statistics revealed that 98% of participants viewed menu modification as a means of inclusion, while 95% viewed it as a strategy to promote autonomy.
