Abstract(s)
As Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TIC) tornaram-se parte essencial do dia a
dia da sociedade atual. Neste sentido, é importante que em contexto educativo se beneficie
das potencialidades que as TIC podem trazer no processo de ensino e de aprendizagem.
Um aspeto fundamental na educação, e que consta um grande desafio para os docentes, é a
avaliação das aprendizagens. Nesta lógica, de modo a incluir as TIC em contexto educativo
e auxiliar o processo de avaliação formativa, foi realizada uma investigação que teve como
objetivo verificar os contributos e potencialidades da aplicação digital Plickers no âmbito
da avaliação formativa, na promoção de maiores e melhores níveis de sucesso educativo.
A investigação foi de natureza qualitativa, mais especificamente uma investigação-ação.
Esta investigação foi desenvolvida no ano letivo 2020/2021, com uma turma do 4.º ano de
escolaridade, constituída por 28 alunos, numa escola em Castelo Branco. Foram realizadas
três sessões de intervenção com o Plickers e utilizadas diversas técnicas e instrumentos de
recolha de dados: observação participante; notas de campo; registos fotográficos; análise
de conteúdo. Pelos dados recolhidos, percebemos que a utilização da aplicação digital
Plickers, demonstrou ser uma mais-valia para o processo de avaliação formativa. De uma
forma geral, a aplicação favorece o processo de ensino e de aprendizagem, motiva os alunos
e facilita a avaliação formativa, promovendo maiores e melhores níveis de sucesso
educativo. O feedback imediato dado pela aplicação permitiu verificar o estado das
aprendizagens e/ou dificuldades de cada aluno e compreender se as estratégias de ensino
utilizadas pelo docente estão a promover ou não uma educação de qualidade. Neste âmbito,
a aplicação Plickers pode ser considerada como um recurso que pode incrementar o sucesso
educativo.
Abstract: Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has become an essential part of everyday life in today's society. In this sense, it’s important that in an educational context benefit from the potential that ICT can bring to the teaching and learning process. A fundamental aspect in education, which is a major challenge for teachers, is learning assessment. In this logic, to include ICT in an educational context and help the formative assessment process, an investigation was carried out to verify the contributions and potential of the Plickers digital application in the context of formative assessment, to promote higher and better levels of educational success. The investigation was qualitative in nature, more specifically, an action investigation. This research was carried out in the academic year 2020/2021, with a 4th grade class consisting of 28 students in a school in Castelo Branco. Three intervention sessions were conducted with Plickers, and various data collection techniques and instruments were used. From the data collected, we realized that using the Plickers digital application proved to be an asset to the formative assessment process. In general, the application favors the teaching and learning process, motivates students and facilitates formative assessment, promoting higher and better levels of educational success. The immediate feedback given by the application makes it possible to verify the status of each student's learning and/or difficulties and to understand whether the teaching strategies used by the teacher are promoting quality education.
