Abstract(s)
aspetos educativos (o raciocínio, a lateralidade, a criatividade, a comunicação e a tomada
Abstract: Robotics has been conquering an increasingly active role in education, which is considered a pedagogical tool with great potential given its association with programming activities. With robotics we managed to work on various educational aspects (reasoning, laterality, creativity, communication, and decision-making). As a way of observing whether robotics was beneficial for the achievement of children's learning, we carried out an investigation in a heterogeneous group, composed of 25 children, eight of whom, aged five years, who came to participate in the investigation. This investigation sought to understand whether the use of robotics (Superdoc) contributes to better learning. For this purpose, several 'carpets' were created according to the theme we wanted to introduce, thus exploring the most varied areas through robotics (eg: images of animals; the solar system; utensils associated with hygiene; itineraries with ecopoints). Data collection was carried out mainly through participant observation and field notes. Three semi-structured interviews were also carried out, one with the cooperating guidance counselor, another with the support teacher present in the room and with another kindergarten teacher in the group. The parents/guardians of the children were also involved, to whom a questionnaire was applied to be able to carry out a better data triangulation, comparing different points of view, by involving all the actors regarding the potential of robotics. During the investigation, a great involvement, interest, and motivation on the part of the group with the use of robotics was visible, feeling that it had provided and promoted a context that favored the learning of children in the areas already identified. Robotics, when correctly included in the educational context, presents a lot of educational potential for children, stimulating and motivating them to acquire learning. And, at the same time, without it being an objective of the investigation, children were given the first approaches to programming activities that are increasingly referred to as being a competence to be acquired by all citizens of the 21st century.
