Abstract(s)
A primeira parte expõe
do ensino básico.
dos alunos, quer do Ensino Artístico Especializado quer do Ensino Geral.
O estudo seguiu as seguintes questões de investigação orientadoras: a primeira: (i)
praticados a professores e alunos do Ensino Artístico Especializado e de Música do
Ensino Geral.
Abstract: The present report is divided into two parts. The first part exposes the activities developed during the subject of Supervised Teaching Practice, inserted in the Master’s Degree in Music Teaching – option of Musical Formation and Ensemble Music. The activities were carried out at Academia de Música de Pereira, in a first grade Musical Formation class and in a choir class in elementary school. The second part is divided into two sections: initially, a documental research preliminary to the investigation was carried out, followed by the development of an investigation based upon a methodology of mixed nature with the purpose of understanding the dissimilarities in the understanding of the teaching of Musical Formation and Ensemble Class – Choir by the teachers and students, both in Specialized Artistic Teaching and in General Teaching. The study pursued and observed the following guiding research questions: the first (i) Does vocal practice enable one to master tuning both in Musical Training and in the Instrument?; the second: (ii) Should the development of interpretative capacities also start from the musical text?; the third: (iii) Does vocal practice participate in the holistic artistic/musical development, among others, in the following components: rhythm; harmony; melody?; and finally: (iv) The repertoire, whether erudite or popular, is a reality in practical group activity (choir). What will its contribution be to the subject of Musical Training? The investigation was based upon the analysis of the results of questionnaire surveys carried out with teachers and students of Specialized Art Education and Music in General Teaching. The questionnaire was designed on the basis of a previous literature review on the subject under analysis. The fact that a questionnaire was simultaneously addressed to teachers and students allowed the possibility of confronting the opinion of these two types of respondents regarding the same dimensions of the teaching-learning process, enabling a comparative analysis that proved to be of great usefulness for a reflection about relevant aspects regarding the teaching of the subject of Musical Formation. It was possible to establish correlations, as well as some divergences, in particular about the pedagogical material used in Musical Formation and Choir classes, about the musical repertoire used in both subjects and the importance of singing together to improve the teaching-learning process in Musical Formation. The product obtained may induce the creation of ways or patterns of thought and organization in the teaching of the subjects under analysis.
