Population aging is a global phenomenon. It is a progressive and irreversible multifactorial process. It is strongly influenced by the environment, in particular, lifestyles and stages of disease.Functional capacity can be evaluated through the basic activities of daily living (BADL’s) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL’s) which are essential to the autonomy of the elderly.
