Este trabalho surgiu no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada do Mestrado em Música - variante Contrabaixo. A investigação teve como ponto de partida uma questão simples mas desafiante na prática: de que forma o estudo de excertos orquestrais pode ser integrado como ferramenta pedagógica no ensino do contrabaixo. A experiência decorreu no Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado e desenrolou-se em dois cenários que se foram encontrando ao longo do percurso: as aulas individuais de um aluno do 2.º grau e o trabalho de conjunto com o naipe de contrabaixos, entre o 4.º e o 7.º grau.
Seguiu-se uma metodologia qualitativa de carácter descritivo-interpretativo. Foram recolhidos registos de aula, notas de reflexão, questionários e também gravações de áudio e vídeo. O cruzamento destes materiais deu uma visão mais ampla que não ficou apenas pelos aspetos técnicos e musicais. Trouxe também informações sobre motivação, sobre a forma como os alunos escutam criticamente e até sobre a forma como se integram no grupo.
Abstract: This study was carried out within the framework of the Supervised Teaching Practice of the Master's Degree in Music - Double Bass. The research as driven by a question in practice that is simple to formulate yet challenging in practice: how can the study of orchestral excerpts be integrated as a pedagogical tool in double bass education? The project took place at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado and unfolded in two complementary contexts: individual lessons with a student at the 2nd level of study, and ensemble work with the double bass section, from the 4th to the 7th level. A qualitative descriptive-interpretative methodology was adopted. Data collection included lesson records, reflective notes, questionnaires, and audio and video recordings. The triangulation of these materials offrered a broader perspective, ecompassing not only just technical and musical progress but also motivation, critical listening, and group integration.
