Abstract(s)
Abstract : The present report is divided in two distinct parts, a Supervised Teaching Practice and a Research Project, both of which were developed during the 2016/2017 school year. The first part took place at the Conservatório Regional de Artes do Montijo, and exposes the pedagogic practice that occurred during that period. In order to analyze the individual lessons, two piano students were chosen for that effect, and a violin, cello and piano trio of students were also picked for the analysis of the group lessons. The second part explicits the development of the Research Project, that begins, in its first portion, with the selection of data in order to determine the necessity of developing a method that has for its base element the musical folklore of Portugal. The second portion of the Project exposes the process of transforming the traditional melodies into adequate adaptations, ready to be taught to beginner students.
