Abstract(s)
Portugal enfrenta uma dinâmica demográfica de forte envelhecimento populacional. É crucial a adaptação das políticas sociais e económicas a esta realidade. Políticas renovadas que possam responder aos desafios sociais e económicos que importa colmatar aos idosos, às famílias e às instituições. A animação sociocultural assume-se como um importante contributo na melhoria da qualidade da oferta das respostas sociais aos idosos, bem como na promoção de melhores práticas gerontológicas.
Objetivo: O presente estudo pretende divulgar a importância que as práticas profissionais da área da animação sociocultural têm na vida das instituições e na qualidade das respostas sociais. Método: Foi realizado um diagnóstico a nível nacional sobre o contexto laboral dos animadores socioculturais, o seu exercício profissional, as expetativas relativamente ao futuro da atividade, e à qualidade das suas práticas profissionais. Resultados: Participou um total de 128 profissionais que demonstraram a sua perceção sobre a prática laboral nas instituições, contemplando três dimensões de análise: formativa, profissional e avaliativa. Resultados: a animação sociocultural tem um impacto positivo na qualidade dos serviços, sendo fator diferenciador. Constitui como instrumento de promoção empresarial/institucional. Conclusão: O impacto das atividades parece ser bastante positiva na melhoria da qualidade das respostas sociais e atividades oferecidas.

Renewed policies that can respond to the social and economic challenges that need to be addressed to the elderly, families and institutions. Sociocultural animation is an important contribution to improving the quality of social responses to the elderly, as well as promoting better gerontological practices. Method: This study aims to disclose the importance that professional practices in the field of socio-cultural animation have on the life of institutions and on the quality of social responses. A diagnosis was made at national level about the work context of the socio-cultural animators, their professional practice, their expectations regarding the future of the activity, and the quality of their professional practices. Results: A total of 128 professionals participated who demonstrated their perception of the work practice in the institutions, contemplating three dimensions of analysis: formative, professional and evaluative. Sociocultural animation has a positive impact on the quality of services, being a differentiating factor. It is an instrument of corporate / institutional promotion. Conclusion: The impact of activities seems to be very positive in improving the quality of social responses and activities offered.
