Abstract(s)
O último censo demográfico realizado no Brasil informa que
aproximadamente 24% da população possui algumtipo de deficiência - a
maioria, deficiência visual. Considerando que 60% desse quantitativo
sequer completou o ensino fundamental embora existam políticas que
garantam o acesso à Educação, este artigo investiga como o Design pode
contribuir para melhorar as imagens nos materiais didáticos
disponibilizados, de modo a ampliar o acesso à informação. De cunho
qualitativo e por meio de roteiro semiestruturado, foram entrevistados
designers do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do
Espírito Santo. Em primeira análise, concluiu-se que há uma lacuna entre
a formação e a prática profissional, o que interfere na produção de
imagens acessíveis.
