Abstract(s)
anteriormente.
Abstract: The objective of this research is to demonstrate the importance that the serigraphic process had, and still has, on the Design of posters. The serigraphic process hasn’t been developed recently. It is intrinsically related with the History of man itself, as a living being. The poster is an effective communication method, because it’s function is to attract a large audience with it’s easy, intuitive and very fast reading. Similar to previous epochs, like “La Belle Époque”, in which the most common method for the divulgation of a spectacle or event was the poster, this method of communication, based on various aspects of Graphic Design, is still popular for advertising. This thesis has been developed with a basis of non-interventionist research methodology, which focused on research related to pertinent topics for the development of this project, and related to the theme of the poster, the communication systems and also the process of serigraphy. Another stage of the project adopted the methodology of Case Studies, and developed the study of some serigraphic posters based on the previously made research.
