| dc.description.abstract | Ć luz do pensamento de Jacques RanciĆØre, enunciado em O espectador emanci pado e O Destino das Imagens, especificamente no que concerne aos conceitos de imagem intolerĆ”vel, eficĆ”cia da arte, dissentimento e irrepresentabilidade, propomo-nos perceber de que modo o documentĆ”rio KZ, de 2006, se articula com as ideias do filĆ³sofo francĆŖs, podendo constituir-se, como uma possibilidade de representaĆ§Ć£o apropriada de acontecimentos monstruosos. Para esta reflexĆ£o considera-se ainda a pertinĆŖncia de conceitos propostos por pensadores como Jean-FranƧois Lyotard ou Jacques Derrida. O filme, do realizador britĆ¢nico de ori gem judaica Rex Bloomstein, revisita o Campo de ConcentraĆ§Ć£o de Mauthausen, na Ćustria, a partir do olhar dos turistas que o visitam, convocando, simultaneamente, a forma como a comunidade onde se insere se relaciona com o campo e o seu passado. Ao contrĆ”rio da maioria dos documentĆ”rios do gĆ©nero, KZ nĆ£o recorre a imagens de arquivo, nĆ£o tem narraĆ§Ć£o, nem depoimentos de sobreviventes. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: In the light of Jacques RanciĆØre's thinking, enunciated in The emancipated spec tator and The future of images, specifically regarding the concepts of intolerable image, efficacy of art, dissensus and unrepresentability, we aim to understand how the 2006 documentary KZ articulates with the ideas of the French philosopher, potentially constituting an appropriate representation of monstrous events. This reflection, also considers the relevance of concepts proposed by thinkers such as Jean-FranƧois Lyotard or Jacques Derrida. The film, by British director of Jewish origin Rex Bloomstein, revisits the Mauthausen Concentration Camp, in Austria, from the perspective of the tourists who visit it, simultaneously highlighting the way in which the community in which it is located relates to the camp and its past. Unlike most documentaries of its genre, KZ does not use archival footage, has no narration nor survivor testimonies. | eng |
