Abstract(s)
O presente documento tem como objetivo apresentar o relatório de estágio elaborado pela aluna para conclusão do Mestrado em Design do Vestuário e Têxtil, na Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, em associação com a Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa. O presente relatório tem como principal finalidade analisar o papel e a contribuição do Designer de Moda na produção de vestuário premium e consiste na exposição dos projetos realizados ao longo de um período de cinco meses de estágio.
Para atingir este objetivo, o relatório pretende abordar uma série de questões, tais como a importância do Designer de Moda na produção de vestuário premium, os processos envolvidos na conceção e confeção deste tipo de vestuário, a importância da modelagem, o papel do designer na coordenação da equipa de produção e na gestão de prazos e orçamentos, os principais desafios na produção de vestuário e como estes podem ser superados.
O estágio decorreu entre outubro e fevereiro, na empresa de indústria de vestuário Confeções Lança, Lda., sediada nos Vales do Rio, Covilhã, especializada principalmente em vestuário premium de homem, e pretendeu reforçar os conhecimentos adquiridos no âmbito académico, bem como a sua aplicação em contexto empresarial. Em consequência deste estágio procedeu-se à realização de um catálogo técnico e de uma ficha técnica dirigidos à empresa, com o intuito de contribuir e complementar este relatório.
Este relatório está dividido em cinco capítulos. No capítulo I são descritas as questões de investigação e os objetivos gerais e específicos, assim como é apresentado o desenho de investigação e respetivo organograma e metodologias de investigação. O capítulo II mostra o enquadramento teórico de todos os tópicos desenvolvidos durante a prática do estágio. No capítulo III é feita uma apresentação da empresa em estudo – Confeções Lança, Lda. –, assim como tudo o que envolve o estágio, desde justificação de escolhas e limitações, à descrição das diferentes atividades realizadas. O capítulo IV é um contributo para o relatório, apresentando um catálogo técnico e uma ficha técnica. Termina com o capítulo V, onde são apresentadas as conclusões e respostas às questões de investigação Para responder a estas questões, o relatório utiliza uma abordagem metodológica mista de tipo intervencionista e não intervencionista de base qualitativa, referentes à prática do estágio no local e à revisão bibliográfica de obras, respetivamente. Com base nos resultados obtidos, são apresentadas recomendações para melhorar a eficiência e a qualidade da produção de vestuário premium na empresa estudada. Desta forma, o presente relatório de estágio visa contribuir para o desenvolvimento do conhecimento teórico-prático sobre a produção de vestuário e o papel do Designer de Moda neste processo.
Abstract: The purpose of this document is to present the internship report drawn up by the student to complete her Master's Degree in Clothing and Textile Design at the School of Applied Arts of the Castelo Branco Polytechnic Institute, in association with the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon. The main purpose of this report is to analyze the role and contribution of the Fashion Designer in the production of premium clothing and consists of an exposition of the projects carried out over a five-month internship period. To achieve this goal, the report aims to address a number of issues, such as the importance of the Fashion Designer in the production of premium clothing, the processes involved in designing and making this type of clothing, the importance of pattern-making, the role of the designer in coordinating the production team and managing deadlines and budgets, the main challenges in clothing production and how they can be overcome. The internship took place between October and February at the clothing industry company Confeções Lança, Lda., based in Vales do Rio, Covilhã, which specializes mainly in premium men's clothing, and was intended to reinforce the knowledge acquired in the academic sphere, as well as its application in a business context. As a result of this internship, a technical catalog and a technical data sheet were produced for the company, with the aim of contributing to and complementing this report. This report is divided into five chapters. Chapter I describes the research questions and the general and specific objectives, as well as presenting the research design and respective organization chart and research methodologies. Chapter II shows the theoretical framework for all the topics developed during the internship. Chapter III presents the company under study - Confeções Lança, Lda. -, as well as everything involved in the internship, from justifying the choices and limitations, to describing the different activities carried out. Chapter IV is a contribution to the report, presenting a technical catalog and a technical sheet. It ends with Chapter V, which presents the conclusions and answers to the research questions.In order to answer these questions, the report uses a mixed methodological approach of an interventionist and non-interventionist type with a qualitative basis, referring to the on-site internship practice and the bibliographic review of works, respectively. Based on the results obtained, recommendations are presented for improving the efficiency and quality of premium clothing production in the company studied. In this way, this internship report aims to contribute to the development of theoretical and practical knowledge about clothing production and the role of the Fashion Designer in this process.
